System Overview
The Multimedia Filtration System uses layered media such as anthracite, quartz sand, and garnet to remove suspended solids, sediments, and impurities from raw water. As water flows through the filter bed, large particles are captured in the upper layers, while finer particles are removed deeper inside, ensuring reliable depth filtration.
After treatment, suspended solids can typically be reduced to below 5 mg/L.
This system is widely used as a pre-treatment step for advanced purification processes like RO, ion exchange, and EDI.
